A MAN STANDS UP FOR THE TRUTH
In reading the book of Exodus, I came to the part where
God is preparing Moses to bring His people out of Egypt. God told Moses: “Pharaoh
shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth
mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of
Egypt by great judgments” (Exod. 7:4).
We know that these judgments included plagues of frogs,
lice, flies, and eventually death to the firstborn. But what does the word “judgments”
really mean in the original language? I looked it up in Strong’s Concordance. It
comes from the Hebrew word “shephet,” which means “a sentence, infliction,
punishment.”
Then the Lord inspired me to scroll down on the same
Strong’s Concordance page where it shows other places in the Bible where this
word is used, and my eyes bugged out!
Proverbs 19:29: “Judgments are prepared for scorners.”
And I immediately thought of the death of Charlie Kirk.
He was mocked and scorned in life, and people actually celebrated
and rejoiced over his being murdered!
If anyone thinks the Bible doesn’t relate to the world we
live in today, think again! GOD IS HERE. We have already begun to see His judgments
on the scorners. Repent and be turned back to God through His son Jesus Christ.
Love, Carolyn
